A Few Words

About Us

ACADI Cameroon — the Academic and Career Development Initiative — was founded in 2010 by a group of visionary young individuals who recognised a critical gap in the lives of youth across Sub-Saharan Africa. Talented and driven young people lacked the career guidance, mentorship, and professional platforms needed to channel their abilities into meaningful outcomes.

The founding team established ACADI to serve as a crossroads for youth: a platform where potential meets opportunity.

On 6 September 2018, ACADI completed its full legalisation as a non-profit organisation under the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Decentralisation (Reg. No. 345/2018/DR/C19/SAAJP).

Today, ACADI operates from its headquarters in Bamenda, with focal points in Yaoundé and Douala, reaching individuals and communities across Cameroon.

ACADI Cameroon’s 2024–2030 Strategic Plan provides a clear roadmap for expanding impact across five strategic pillars: Organizational Development, Advocacy, Economic Empowerment, Education, and Health Promotion.

The plan prioritises strengthened institutional capacity, diversified funding, evidence-based programming, and deepened partnerships — ensuring that ACADI continues to deliver measurable, lasting impact for individuals and communities across Cameroon.
